Efficiency for Access Research and Development Fund: Innovator Series – Jirogasy

Improving digital education throughout Madagascar

Digital education is an undeveloped area in Sub-Saharan Africa. Across sub-Saharan Africa, only 35% of schools have access to electricity, 89% of learners do not have access to household computers and 82% lack internet access. To help address this, the Efficiency for Access Research and Development Fund supported Jirogasy to create Jirodesk2, an affordable, ‘plug-and-play’, #solar-powered computer for off-grid settings.
