Where to find Efficiency for Access at COP27
Efficiency for Access is thrilled to participate in COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
Efficiency for Access is pleased to announce its presence at the upcoming 27th Conference of Parties (COP) to the Climate Convention in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. From the 6th to 18th of November, leaders and activists from around the world will gather to envision inclusive, ambitious and substantive outcomes that accelerate urgent global climate action.
As a participant at this high-stakes event, Efficiency for Access will continue to promote the critical role of high-performing, inclusive appliances in the clean and just transition towards universal energy access. Over the course of the convention, Efficiency for Access will co-host and participate in several events: as a co-lead under the Food and Agriculture theme at the Resilience Hub, we worked in partnership with the Stockholm Resilience Centre and the Global Resilience Partnership to create an engaging showcase which we will facilitate and present at; Efficiency for Access will also be speaking at the Water Pavilion, SDG 7 Pavilion and at side events with the Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) and Transforming Energy Access (TEA) programmes. The Power of Inclusion: Designing equitable energy systems across social divisions

Context: Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) is co-organising five days of side events during COP27, bringing global experts and policy practitioners together for discussion. This event, hosted by EnDev, will focus on the often-undervalued role of inclusion in an equitable energy transition. Efficiency for Access will chair the event, with speakers from UNOPS, Sustainable Energy for All and Practical Action.

Resilience Hub
Emerging innovations and their potential to transform mitigation and adaptation efforts in agriculture

Context: Building on our successful partnership at COP26 in Glasgow last year, Efficiency for Access is participating in the Race to Resilience’s Resilience Hub as a Food and Agriculture theme co-lead. In addition to co-organising the event, representatives from Efficiency for Access will take part as facilitator and speakers. The session aims to highlight key examples of technological, social, regenerative and financial solutions currently available to help communities mitigate and adapt to climate change.

Water Pavilion
NEXUS solutions for climate-resilient water, energy, food and environment security: lessons learned from the ground

Fostering innovation is key to achieving clean energy access and improving health, food security and resilience. By accelerating clean energy access in Africa, Asia and the Indo-Pacific, we can meet climate and development goals and mobilise the finance needed for an inclusive transition. Efficiency for Access co-organised the event and will also speak on the event panel alongside speakers from Carbon Trust, Sustainable Energy for All and World Bank ESMAP.
