New research to be presented at 2026 S-@ccess Conference

Efficiency for Access will be in attendance for the 6th S‑Access Conference from 8-10 April.

Energy Saving Trust, co-Secretariat of Efficiency for Access is pleased to announce its participation in the 6th S‑Access Conference, taking place from 8–10 April 2026 at the University of the Balearic Islands in Palma, Spain. The conference brings together practitioners, researchers and policymakers working to accelerate progress in decentralised renewable energy solutions worldwide.

Alongside Efficiency for Access’ role as media partner, Florencia Azar Sales, Liya Bensy Thomas and Rachel Currah will attend the event to share new insights on advancing energy access and cross‑sector collaboration.

Presentations

Two presentations on findings from recent and upcoming reports from Efficiency for Access will be presented at the S-@ccess Conference:

  • Cooling the last mile: Landscape mapping of space cooling solutions in rural Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia – Florencia Azar Sales will be presenting in Session 1: ‘Measures to Boost Access & Impact’
  • Enhancing Kenyan Fisheries: off-grid solar cooling for sustainable livelihoods – Liya Bensy Thomas will be presenting in Session 4C: ‘Capacity Building & Livelihoods’.

Poster Presentations

Two poster presentations will be discussed in Session 2: ‘Poster Pitches’.

  • Smart off-grid solar appliances: using remote monitoring to improve efficiency, performance and affordability – presented by Florencia Azar Sales
  • Beyond silos: strengthening nexus collaboration to power food systems with off-grid solar – Presented by Rachel Currah
