We recognise the importance of building connections between academia and industry to ensure the continued development of the off-grid sector. During its final year before the pause, the Efficiency for Access Design Challenge established these long-lasting, productive partnerships.

Universities

The Efficiency for Access Design Challenge has recently completed its sixth year, and over the course of the years it gained recognition showcasing innovation and positive change in the off-grid appliance sector. It empowered teams of university students to drive clean energy access by crafting affordable, high-performance off-grid appliances and enabling technologies.
