Final Webinar in ‘Cool Insights’ Series Announced
The third and final webinar in the series, focusing on walk-in cold room business models, will take place in September
We are thrilled to announce the third and final webinar in our ‘Cool Insights’ series, in collaboration with the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) and in support of the recently released “Walk-In Cold Rooms: A Practitioner’s Technical Guide”.
In this third webinar, we will dive into progressing insights of business models of cold chains. There will be presentations on the inventory of different business models, and local entrepreneurs will tell us how they put these business models to practice. A reflection will be provided on how these business models fit into large scale programmes, such as the ASCENT programme of World Bank. The session will close with a Q&A with the team. You can sign up for the webinar here.
The speakers for the event include Bas Hetterscheid of Wageningen University, Tracy Kimathi of Baridi and Leo Blyth of The World Bank. Moderation comes from Nyamolo Abidi of Efficiency for Access and CLASP.
“Walk-In Cold Rooms: A Practitioner’s Technical Guide” consolidates the current state of the art technologies used in designing and operating walk-in cold rooms that are well suited for hot climates, especially in off and weak-grid areas. The guide presents practical guidance for developers, owners, operators and suppliers to make informed decisions when specifying, installing and operating precoolers and cold rooms.
